LOWER MAIN STREET SEWERLINE IMPROVEMENTS

Wailuku, Hawaiʻi

This project involved implementing multiple sewer bypasses to facilitate the installation of approximately 2,000 linear feet of new 15-inch gravity sewer line. Additionally, around 11 sewer manholes were installed, including numerous utility crossings and concrete jackets. The new sewer line was a necessary addition to support the area's increasing growth and address the deteriorated condition of the existing line.

The project posed significant challenges as it required excavating alongside the existing live sewer line, which was made of clay and prone to breakage. Furthermore, managing traffic and pedestrians in the vicinity added to the complexity of the project.
